Hello guys i decided to make a small basic tutorial for those who don't know how to install weapon and skin mods to their GTA SA.

First i want to tell you what is the use of "gta3.img". It is used in editing the game models, textures, collision files, some path nodes and some animation files.

"gta3.img" is used in editing/modifying

Weapons
Skins
HUD/Map Mods
ETC..

Tools:
You can use any .img Editor. I recommend you to use the IMG Editor 2.0 (http://www.thegtaplace.com/downloads/f552-img-tool-2-0)

Steps:
1. Downloading .IMG Editor (IMG Editor 2.0)
2. Making Backup for files.
3. Opening "gta3.img"
4. Finding & Replacing Files to "gta3.img"
5. Rebuilding Archive

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Downloading .IMG Editor (IMG Editor 2.0)
Now after you download the file it should look like that (Working on IMG Editor )

You will get an error, but it isn't. it is a warning to make a backup i will explain soon enough, but for now i will continue with the steps.

2. Making Backup for Files
Now for those who don't know the meaning of backup. Backup is to make a copy of a file to prevent any crash/problem when you add the mod to your GTA SA. It easily means to copy the "gta3.img" file to any place in your computer because if the mod crashes your game you will restore the old file to its place.
Now copy the "gta3.img" file to any place in your computer.

3. Opening "gta3.img"
If you want to add any mod (Weapon/Skin/HUD) you must open the "gta3.img" file so you can add the mods in it. Just follow the steps.

Loading will take less than 30 Seconds

4. Finding & Replacing Files to "gta3.img"
Now you must have a weapon mod to test with it. I already have one.
Good Weapon Mods: http://www.gta-sarp.com/forums/showthread.php?62780-Weapon-packs-Multiple-Weapons
Now when you download the file open it for example the Tiger_Deagle
The File:http://i.imgur.com/nMBaa3U.png
Now extract the file to any place in your computer and go back to your IMG Editor and make like me.

Mod means Modification so you must replace the original file with the modificated one that is why you must search for the file and replace.( Searching depends on the mod name or the file it modified )

Now you should replace the old file with the new Modified one

Make the same thing with the .txd file

5. Rebuilding Archive
When you are done with the replacing just Rebuild the archive( It will take 1-2 minutes. The More Powerful the PC is,The less time it will be. )

After you are done close the IMG Editor and Enjoy your mod.
