Skin's not changing.

So for example, I download a skinpack -

I place smoke.txd and smoke.dff into my desktop,

I replace the old smoke.txd with the new one, same for the .dff.

I rebuild archive.

When I log back into SARP or any other server nothing has changed.

I do not have any instance of san andreas open in the background btw

Don't rebuild it, just save it, enjoy! :)

okay i had the same problem . but i manage now to change and place the skin mod i want and by Coincidence it was big smoke what i want change it so that what i did , iam using spark so i opened it then opened mt gat3 file then i searched for smoke. files [ smoke.dff , smokev.dff , smoke , smokev ] and made a coppy of then and delete them from spark and then replaced the new mod files then saved what i did ... thats all you need and i got my big smoke

I recommend you to download GGMM & Skin Changer for SAMP its much easier to replace the skins ;)

Just use Spark IMG thing. Always been a reliable tool for me.

Could be one of a few things;
make sure you save the archive then rebuild it
make sure you are replacing the right big smoke skin, I think there are a couple
make sure you have the permissions to access gta3.img (can be checked in properties)
run the img editor as administrator (similar to the one above)
