How to use animated images as Avatar or Profile Picture?

Hey there.

To use animated images you have to be a member of the VIP usergroup which you can purchase VIP at http://donate.gta-sarp.com, or a member of the Graphics Team.

If you become a member of these usergroups then you must upload a .gif image that is under the limits of your usergroup which is available at http://www.gta-sarp.com/forums/profile.php?do=editavatar. It should be something like this (your size settings will be different if you're VIP):


Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 224 by 224 pixels or 300.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

My friend have gif abatar but he isnt a vip nor in graphics team but he has a moderation towards a forum section

now woot??Did you resize it first in something like Photoshop so it's not exceeding your avatar size limits? If you used the one in your signature then that's too big for an avatar.

How many times do I have to say this? :xD: You need to be in SANews usergroup in order to use gif as avatar.

All this together is that you can't use gif without being in a specefic usergroup or have moderation over some forums.

Acquire the Usergroups; News Reporter, Graphics team and VIP to be able to use GIF's as an avatar. Although you need to meet the required size to do so, if it exceeds the limit, the page would resize it and remove the layers which is the animation on the said gif. So it will basically be a normal image, make sure to do the requirements! Enjoy.
