Well, I just bought a microphone today and the voice after recording it is very quiet.

Now when I log into teamspeak and try speaking, nothing happens. Yes, the microphone is unmuted. Yet I have a microphone with an 'X' icon on the right side of my name.

Try all of these steps:

Open Options, which is located in Settings

Then go to "Capture"

Then go to "Capture Device", and select your microphone

Hit apply

Restart Teamspeak, and see if your mic works now
