How does this rep shit work? Is there a certain amount of reputation you need for a bar? And what're the stars for? Some peoples are blue and some are red?

The star's color depends on the usergroup you've selected to display yourself as.
For example, yours would be the same color as the SANews UG, while mine would be Hexagon Red. You gain 1 star per 500 posts.

The rep system is quite simple, for each bar you have, you have 1 rep power. The more rep power you have, the more you can affect another users reputation points. For every 100 reputation points, you can 1 rep bar / power.

About the stars, they appear when you have 500 posts. The colors depends on what Usergroup you are.
