You could back your stuff up to another harddrive if you have an extra one. If you dont, when you plug in your new one, it will be like a fresh start.

I suggest keeping both hard drives in your computer. Most computers are equipped to have 2 (or more) hard drives at the same time. Otherwise, invest in an external hard drive and copy what you want to keep to it. GTA can be mobile and will run from an external.

No, your files will just magically transfer over to your new hard drive. Of course you'll lose them! Back them up onto a memory stick or a CD.
