Today some newbie DMers again shoted me....
Anyway i thought : ''Thats it , i will fight for test before join!''


1.What is Role Play ((RP)) ?
a) SAMP mod where you need to act like In real life.
b) SAMP mod where you need to kill each other.
c) SAMP mod where you need to race.

2.What is Meta Gaming ((MG)) ?
a) Something what belows SANG.
b) Mixing In Character ((IC)) and out of character ((OOC)) chat.
c) Some kind of food.

3.What is Death Match ((DM)) ?
a) Some kind of event.
b) SAMP mod
c) Killing people randomly without Role Play ((RP)) Reason.

4.What is Power Gaming ((PG)) ?
a) Hacking.
b) Doing something unreal.
c) Asslicking.

5) What is Spawn Killing ((SK)) ?
a) Killing admin.
b) Killing someone who just spawned out of hospital.
c) Killing player who just joined SARP.

6) What is Revenge Kill ((RK)) ?
a) When someone kill your friend and you saw it , you kill him.
b) When you are death matching ((DMing)) and admin prison you.
c) When someone kill you , you come out of hospital and kill him.

7) What is Chicked runing ?
a) Runing around in circles to none can hit you
b) Event
c) Chicken march trought the town

8) What is Car Parking ((CP)) ?
a) Parking car in the parking lot
b) Parking car on someone to kill him
c) Parking car on the house roof using hacks

9) What is Crack Shooting ((CS)) ?
a) Something what belows to Counter-strike 1.6
b) Non-Stop using crack
c) After each bullet pressing C to avoid shooting

10) What is Quick Swapping ((QS)) ?
a) Quick switching weapons to avoid Reload.
b) Switching families like a socks.
c) Hacking weapons.

11) If dmer will start to shoot you , what you will do ?
a) Make few SS and later FC him.
b) shoot him too.
c) Loggin out.

12) And the Last Question!Did you like this test ?

Also; maybe there shouldn't be multiple answers, but instead you have to write the answer yourself. Just a thought.

Nah if this was a higher RP server a test would be needed but at the current state that it is at something like this isn't very useful. When I joined I could not have answered most of these questions and I'm pretty sure many others that now play here could not have. This just drives new players away and since we are seeking for a higher palyerbase something like this isn't helpful.

A tutorial over this though will be much more effective and they will have to at least read it

This is why a tutorial will help more than a quiz. Did you join this server from another RP server? I didn't and I definetly wouldn't be playing here if there was a quiz at the start. If this was put in by Marcus originally I think half of the players in this whole server will not be here. Also if someone DM's instead of bitching about it to your mates and complaining about "lazy admins" why dont YOU get some SS's and post them on here so the rule breakers will get prisoned and then hopefully if they want to stay in this server stop doing it. Then over time this person will learn RP and there we go- another member to the server. And you havn't thought much aobut what you have said.
In the script a scripter could easily add a feature where a new block of text appears and a player is given a certain time to read it. and he may /next when he is done reading it. And no to /next it can be scripted so you can only /next like 30 seconds after the text pops up.

3. Also, you don't know how many players would be here if it was put in originally. Perhaps there would be more... Perhaps they would also roleplay more. No one knows.

4. You tell the people that get DMed to get screenshot of the incident. Yeah, people do that - the guy gets prisoned, but when he gets out again he might DM you again, or some other guy might do it. Then you gotta make another complaint. Who wants to go around complaining about being DMed all day on the forums, people have other things to do. Also, I never said anything about "lazy admins". Okay I never said you complained and i never said you said lazy admins but what I did say was that a lot of players that come on this server don't know RP but eventually learn it. If we put a quiz on then these players that don't know RP but that will learn it could not join the server and we loose potential players. Also in response to your point 3 (lol) I was speaking hypothetically at no point did I say that this was the truth. I am just saying if a player knew what sort of server he was getting in through a tutorial and not be blocked off from a server because of a quiz it would benefit the server more. So at least we got new guys joining knowing what sort of server they are entering to instead of barely managing to enter a server because they don't know what things are.

A starting test like this for any newbie player would be great, and if he fails it, it would be great to link a URL to the rules of the server.. This is a great idea, I would love to see this scripted in the server when new people join.

What they actually do is that they ban new players that just joined to NOT be able to have any weapons in their possession for 2-3 even maybe 8 hours... Or... just move the Shotgun to the next level of the Arms Dealer job...

How about instead we have a tutorial where people can learn how to RP using /me and /do, maybe even add in how to get a job, enter and exit buildings, getting a higher level, using the bank, getting cars and a house, etc.

This is a good idea, it won't kick out too many players because the questions are easily figured out using the process of elimination. For example:

What is MG?

A. Mixing OOC and IC
B. Something that is below SANG
C. A type of food

They will be able to infer that A is the answer and thus will imprint what the rule is into their head, but I think it needs to explain somewhere what OOC and IC is and which is which.

^^This. If a player wanted to seriously play here but didn't know RP he will have to read the tut to enter the game and play so ths shold be good. This would also cut out people coming here to DM by at least a bit if there was a tut you had to read. Now players who don't know these terms but want to play here can play

For old players 2500 dollar is nothing and we you are just posting this because you are annoyed by dmers we all know this. But after he DMed you. contact the newbie oocly try to teach some RP habits. I taught RP to very much newbie and it feels good to see how they are getting better. Try not to make them leave server. Try to make them love to RP and they will love the server. That feels very nice to see people RPing around.

P.S I learnt how to rp on this server. When I joined the sARP first time I didn't knew what the hell is DM-DB and such. I went to the LSPD station and I was shouting to cadet (I had never see cadet uniform before and I thought because of that different uniform he was high ranking member :D) I want to be cop I want to be cop. But noone banned me for that. Server taught me how to RP.

2. Many people know about Rp and just come here to DM, so it won't help, it'll only decrease 20-30% DM, but not 100%.
