Profile customization is for VIPs only if I am not wrong.

Any VIP can do it. But only if you has the VIP tag and the permission in your forum account.. If it gets removed, obviously you can't customize your profile, no more. Otherwise, feel free to do it anytime you want, it will show up in your profile at the right side if i'm not wrong. If you are VIP and has evidence that you still are. Feel free to post a forum related at the administrative request for your VIP tag in forum.
