For the past few days I have been not able to ping the server. I haven't changed anything on my side, that I know of... Any ideas?

You've probably tried this already, but Re-install GTA:SA.

Well I would normally say try reinstalling everything, but it seems like you've tried that.
If you haven't already, try resetting your router, turn your computer off for a few minutes, and try again.
If that doesn't work, I came across this old thread where another person had a similar situation. There was no solution found and the thread was closed since nobody could find an answer, but the guy was told to PM Cody, maybe try PM'ing him? - http://www.gta-sarp.com/forums/showthread.php?53166-Can-t-ping-the-server

I have done all of that... I messaged Enrique to see if he remembers how he got it fixed.

Does other servers work? If not, try port forwarding.

Other servers work.
I've had the exact problem but, I wasn't able to visit the forums though. It's probably your IP which is getting blocked somehow. Try using a VPN and see if it makes any different.

I didn't read the replies because I unfortunately have no time but readd the server into the server list, it worked for me.

I might be wrong here but I believe it's something the side of FDC (our host), I suggest finding a VPN until we can get this resolved, there's some free and cheap ones out there, just use Google you'll find them.

If you would read the rest of the posts you could have seen that I have tried all of that. It has nothing to do with my PC.

So, but so fucking easy.
You gotta find a priate download of ''hide my IP'', but one that actually hides it, and you will be able to log in.

I've temporarily fixed the problem by using a private VPN to join the server. I'd still like to know if there is a way to fix this permanently.

Only if the host resolves this blocking IPs issue.

Maybe your far from the host or someone is using your net and doing such things that makes you lag or something.

Try disabling your firewall/internet security. The :4500 port might be blocked, thus not allowing you to ping the server.

Hes firewalled by the server, pretty much beyond a doubt. This can't really be fixed by any helpers or even most of the administrators really, only those who can access the server itself.

Is it working now? For me, my ISP, just started to work again since yesterday.
